Meet the Vrooms! We are both runners and met in 1991 while working in Zambia, Africa. We have had 4 (rescue) dogs as pets and companions. Herman is originally from The Netherlands and an engineer/landscaper who can maintain and repair almost anything. Elizabeth is a teacher, master gardener and a very organized and meticulous person. We have experience managing our own properties and understand what a home-owner is looking for in a house-sitter.

We are healthy, honest, adventurous, hardworking and speak several languages between the two of us: English, Dutch, French, German, and intermediate Spanish. We have three grown children and being recent empty-nesters, we are using the opportunity to explore more of the world, while retaining the sense of being at home. We have a strong preference for longer term house-sits, so that we have the chance to form lasting relationships with home owners and enjoy being part of the local community.
